Dear Friend,
All of this starts with an incredible story...
It starts in Washington D.C, while I was
on a business trip, attending an annual marketing seminar. This seminar
was different, as I was a key speaker at this conference, so I wasn't
myself.
In fact, I really wasn't
the ordinary kind and open-hearted me.... Instead, I was so full of myself
that my ego was coming out my nose!
I had a "better than thou" attitude
with everyone I talked to. After all, I knew everything, I had a wildly

In My Pocket...
(Little did anyone know that I was
actually shaking in my boots, deep in debt in my business, with only
$80 u.s dollars in my pocket to eat for the next 3 days, in downtown
Washington, D.C...the food ain't cheap there!)
Anyway, I was quite enjoying this false
ego-trip of mine, and as I was walking out on a lunch break, out of the
midst of the crowd a man that looked of Indian decent with graying hair
walked up to me and introduced himself.:
"Hey Kacper, My Name is John. John
Harricharan. I've heard a lot about you," he said.
This guy? Knows me? From who?
He went on to say that he knew me from
my friend Tom Venuto, who told him a lot of good things about me(here
goes my ego boost). He then went on to say that he had a business proposition
for me regarding a book that he wrote on "creativity"which he's
promoting on the Internet next month.
Here I was, on top the world, the "biz
wiz" being handed a business proposition by this odd looking, strange
man, who to me looked like he didn't know the first thing about Internet
business. He also sounded surprisingly a lot more American than Indian.
What could he possibly have to offer
me?
I casually said "I'd be interested"
and would take a look at his "book", but inside I thought that
what he wrote was probably trash and not worth my time.
The next day, my ego lowered it's defenses,
and I got to know John a little more.
We had dinner together, much to my surprise
I really started to enjoy John's company. We talked for what seemed like
ages about life, the universe, reality, and Deepak Chopra(who I later
found out is a close friend of his.)
For the time that we were talking together,
it was as if the mundane world which I normally thought myself to be in
shifted into a dream, everything seemed so easy and life was so much more
fascinating.
I put the memory of this "book"
he mentioned into the back of my mind, and enjoyed his company.
What
A Dumb Name For a Book...
Later that day, as I was standing and chatting
with a couple guys during a break at the seminar, John walked up to me
to give me a copy of a book he wrote. It was called "When You Can
Walk on Water, Take The Boat"
What kind of a name for a book is that?
This guy is definitely a newbie author...I thought.
He explained to me that this is NOT the
book he is promoting next month, but it is still a good book and I should
read it.
I knew I'd probably put it on my shelf
in my office and never read it, I had far more important things to do
than read this odd book. The brown cover which had an empty lake and an
empty wooden boat on it, really didn't look that appealing anyway.
That night I said good-bye to John, as
I would be flying out back to Vancouver early at 7:30 AM the next day.
And he would be leaving back to his home in Atlanta that day as well.
The
Dream...
I didn't fully understand the impact this
man would have on me until the next day...
It was an odd morning, I was having some
sort of dream in which I was being swallowed up by a huge wave of water,
when I woke up in my hotel room.
As I looked at the cheap alarm clock of
the shabby hotel room, I realized it was 8 AM!
In all the times I've traveled,
I had never missed a flight, and my flight back to Vancouver, BC, unfortunately,
left at 7:30 AMl I swore I set my alarm to 6:00 AM, I always give myself
at least an hour to get to the airport, and since I was staying only 1
block away from the White House, in Hotel Washington, I was only about
13 minutes from the airport by taxi.
By the time I got to the airport, I was
told that the next flight out to Vancouver didn't leave until the next
day. I was furious!
"I'm not waiting in this airport
for 24 hours!," I demanded
The guy behind the America West airlines
desk told me there was another option... there was a flight that left
to Phoenix Arizona, connected through San Diego, and would get me to Vancouver
by 10 PM local time.
And,... I had to wait on standby for the
first flight to Phoenix.
Clearly having no option but to spend the
rest of the day traveling, I agreed to this alternative, and got my 3
boarding passes...
Sitting in the boarding area for my flight
to Pheonix, I was rather frustrated, with nothing to do for 3 hours -
I began to shuffle through my bag to get my laptop out and and do some
work, when John's book fell out face flat on the ground.
Perhaps it was a sign?
Thinking "what else do I have to
do for the next 3 hours?" I began to read John's book.
Touching Down
In San-Diego
Many hours later, as my plane
was just 15 minutes away from touching down in San Diego, I was finishing
the second last chapter of John's book.
My hands were trembling....
...and I had tears in my eyes, for this
was truly the most profound thing I have ever read.

not from my throat, like they usually do.

with a gasping kind of sound. I smiled from ear to ear as I said "That
was absolutely incredible!"
I knew from that moment on,
that life would never be the same for me. Even my vision had temporarily
changed, everything looked so vivid, so alive and full of color around
me.
